You are the individual or, where appropriate, the company or any other legal entity you represent.
Customer(s) are the individuals or professionals who wish to contract the services of BigTranslation.
Service(s) offered by BigTranslation are translations, proofreading and transcriptions.
Translators are the qualified professionals who have been carefully selected by BigTranslation.
By accessing the website of BigTranslation and/or registering as a customer, you accept that you are in agreement with the terms and conditions detailed below. If you place any order on behalf of third parties or a company, you must appear as the legal representative thereof and inform them that, from that moment, the responsibility of acceptance lies with that company or with the third party on whose behalf you are acting.
If you do not comply with the terms and conditions stipulated herein, BigTranslation reserves the right to close the Customer’s account and take the measures necessary to safeguard the interests of BigTranslation.
If a case of fraud is suspected, BigTranslation reserves the right to freeze the Customer’s account for the time necessary and throughout the investigation of the case. In that case, BigTranslation is not liable for not meeting the delivery deadline set forth in article 7 of these terms.
BigTranslation offers a variety of services, including translation, proofreading and transcription, which will be explained in more detail below.
BigTranslation mainly focuses on translation, a service that allows our customers to obtain content in the language of their choice based on the original content in a different language. Our translators are native and will ensure, in each task, that the type of vocabulary used in the original document is preserved.
Our proofreading services include reading the document to check its vocabulary, grammatical and syntax errors, as well as punctuation marks. The structure, format, integration and layout are not part of this service.
With regard to transcription, we try to carefully translate a written version of the audio files that the Customer wants us to transcribe, always treating the information as confidential. BigTranslation will check the content of the video and decide whether to accept the project, as noise pollution in many of them prevents a good transcription.
The user must be fully responsible for the confidential treatment and proper custody of their passwords, preventing unauthorised third parties from gaining access thereto.
In order to contract the services offered through this website, a series of data is requested from the user. The purpose of the aforementioned request is to make this contracting possible and execute the contracted service under the proper conditions. In this regard, the user promises that the data requested and declared is true, complete and accurate, and also promises to notify BigTranslation of any changes that affect them as soon as possible in order to avoid any problems that may arise should the provider have any inaccurate or outdated data.
The User must not intentionally upload viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is technologically harmful or damaging to our Website. They must also not attempt an unauthorised access to our website, the servers where it is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to it. It is also forbidden to attack our website after being denied a service or a distribution service.
Any breach of these provisions means committing an offence. We will keep the police and legal authorities informed of any violation, and we will cooperate with them to reveal your identity. In the event of any breach, your right to use our Site will cease immediately.
We will not be liable for any damage or loss caused by a distribution attack, denial of service virus or any other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, software, data or other proprietary material due to your use of our Site, either for downloading any material posted on it or by using any website linked to it.
BigTranslation reserves the right to accept and reject projects that may contain offensive material, encourage violence, discrimination, and even infringe upon the fundamental rights and freedoms recognised by Community law.
The content of the project to be translated will be provided, through our platform, by the Customer, as well as any supporting files necessary for the translator. The content must be accurate, respect the format with which BigTranslation works and be free of any viruses or encryption. BigTranslation will not be liable for any errors that may be contained in the project’s files.
In no case may these files contain the Customer’s contact information, as direct contact with the Translator is expressly forbidden. At the time of placing the order, the Customer may include any necessary information for the Translator to take into account.
To place an order, the Customer must firstly register on the platform and follow the steps indicated to request a quote. Once the order is confirmed and the project has been assigned to a Translator, you cannot cancel it or ask for it to be returned.
When the project is ready, you will receive a message that the project is available in your Customer Area, where you can download the file directly.
The delivery deadlines shown in our platform are an estimate and will serve as a guide, as there are many factors to take into account such as the complexity of the project, volume and availability of Translators, among others.
Therefore, BigTranslation cannot commit to any specific deadline but will do everything possible to speed up the process.
Delivery of the project will be in the same format as the one in which it was sent.
The price of the project will be set by the platform at the time of placing the order. The reference currency is the Euro (€).
Payment methods on our platform are either by bank transfer, credit card and/or PayPal.
By bank transfer, the project will not be managed until it is confirmed that the payment is in our bank.
BigTranslation also accepts payment by credit card, through the PayPal payment gateway in guest mode (it is not necessary to create an account or register on Paypal).
If, on the other hand, you choose PayPal as the payment method, besides being the most secure payment platform on the internet, it allows you to link payments to your credit or debit card or even to your bank account.
It is also possible to top-up your wallet by bank transfer and use the balance to place new orders. There is a history of your activity on the control panel and the possibility to transfer the balance (min. €300) to your bank account or PayPal. This is highly convenient and bears no additional cost.
If you have a promotional code, this will be valid for three months.

The Customer may download the invoice from their Customer Area which will be available on the 10th, 20th and 30th of each month.
The Customer can request for their account to be closed at any time through our contact form. It will only be valid when you do so through this method.
